Vision

Water is the essence of life and catalyst for the development of biological activity. The continuously increasing global water consumption and depleting renewable resources are great challenge to the mankind in twenty-first century. One of the today’s most prominent challenges, both on global and local scale is the scarcity of water. The dwindling supply of water is being caused by factors such as population growth, climate change, poor investment in infrastructures and management problems

Mission

To develop human resource potential in technology to its greatest extent so that innovative leaders can emerge in the profession of water engineering and management.
To create new technology by engaging in cutting edge research and to promote academic growth by offering state-of-the-art integrated postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
To identify and address the relevant water related issues at Regional, National and Global level.
To undertake collaborative projects with National and International organisation and provide consultancy.
